Summary

Perdue AgriBusiness, LLC has an immediate opening for a Grain Crew Leader in Allensville, KY

 

This position is responsible for supervising crews and teams that receive, dry, store and distribute grain and to operator grain receiving, storage and drying equipment.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist the facility manager in managing the operations.
  • Ensure working conditions for all associates are in compliance with the safety guidelines established by local, state, and federal agencies as well as company policies.
  • Assist the facility manager in coordinating and directing the daily activities of crews and teams that receive, dry, store, and distribute grain.
  • Train and develop team members to perform required operational task.
  • Operate grain receiving, drying, transfer and loadout equipment.
  • Operate lift truck equipment and perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on operational equipment with the grain facility to ensure maximum availability and longevity.
Minimum Education
  • High School or equivalent
  • higher education preferred
Experience Requirements
  • Experience giving work direction and leading others
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience preferred
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Able to move freely throughout the agribusiness facilities including climbing vertical heights (0 -150'), carrying tools and equipment (0-50 lbs.), exposure temperatures (0-100) degrees Fahrenheit, humidity (0-100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available). Must be able to wear protective equipment. Required to travel to remote agribusiness facilities and customer locations.
