Summary

The Gainesville, GA production facility is a fully-cooked, ready-to-eat, further processing facility within the Premium Prepared Foods division (no birds). We create products for consumers, retailers, and foodservice customers around the globe.

This position will be responsible for performing multiple functions that may include receiving and processing incoming materials, issuing and returning product to production, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse. Usually works five to six days a week ; overtime may be required based on production needs.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Utilizing production schedules issue and return products to production and transports materials to and from designated areas in the facility using a forklift and/or pallet jack.
Unload trucks and correctly complete receiving paperwork
Verify lot numbers to ensure a first in, first out process
Examines products to verify conformance to quality standards.
complete cycle counts and enter information into SAP.
Maintains a clean and safety working environment. While performing all duties in a safe manner following facility guidelines.
Follow all Food Safety programs.
Adheres to all safety requirements including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions to management.
Participates in Company and department safety programs.

Minimum Education

High School or equivalent not required, but beneficial.

Experience Requirements

Power Industrial Vehicle Experience (Electric Pallet Jack and Forklift).
Good math, reading and writing skills.
Basic computer skills.
Worked a minimum of 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer within the past 3 years.

Experience Preferred

Previous Warehouse and/or Shipping and Receiving experience preferred.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

When in a plant environment:

Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
May be exposed to temperatures of 0 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
May handle product -10 degrees to 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
May be exposed to dust, and all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
Occasional exposure to carbon dioxide vapors 10ppm and chlorine less than 20 ppm.
Able to stand and walk for several hours.
Work may include lifting (up to 70 lbs) to heights of 5" to 84", reaching, bending, pushing boxes.
May have to operate PIV for extended periods of time.
