The E-Commerce Manager will have primary responsibility for the operation of the Full Moon and Spot Farms websites and associated acquisition and retention marketing strategies for driving e-commerce sales growth within these direct-to-consumer (DTC) channels.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, oversight of website design and development, content creation for the website and marketing assets (managing photo/video production, blog content, influencer content, etc.), revenue generation through paid digital marketing channels (social, search, display, etc.), website analytics and reporting key insights to senior management.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Achieve the stated goals of e-commerce revenue, margin, and customer growth using digital marketing, merchandising, and allocated budget.

2. Develop and deliver the customer, revenue, and unit forecasts for the DTC channels.

3. Create and manage a robust test and control environment for testing new marketing, merchandising, and promotional tactics.

4. Maintain the e-commerce websites (Full Moon and Spot Farms) and develop new pages and features as needed to maximize conversion rates, average order values, purchase frequency, and loyalty.

5.  Work closely with the entire Marketing team in developing a digital marketing strategy and carrying out coordinated tactics across paid digital/performance channels that drive e-commerce sales (i.e. DTC promotions, influencer campaigns, social contests/giveaways, connected TV or podcast advertising, etc.).

6.  Hire and develop top talent as needed.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer science, Analytics/Statistics, or related business field, with 5+ years of increasing project and financial responsibility. 

Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Prior experience managing an e-commerce business and performance marketing strategy either internally or by managing external agencies. 
  • Ability to manage a comprehensive budget that includes both nonworking (agency fees, software licensing, and production costs) and working (paid digital marketing) dollars. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
  • Extremely comfortable with spreadsheets and working in a highly quantitative environment.
  • Ability to work without regular direct supervision and comfortable with ambiguity.

PREFERRED:  Experience in front-end and back-end web development for e-commerce platforms like Shopify Plus, Demandware, Magento, etc.
