The Perry Cook facility is a fully-cooked, ready-to-eat, further-processing facility within the Premium Prepared Foods division (no birds). We create products for consumers, retailers, and foodservice customers around the globe.


The Staffing Recruiter will be responsible for hiring top talent, building and sustaining solid relationships with hiring managers, and fulfilling all talent acquisition needs by managing the full life-cycle recruiting process in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment. 

  • High-volume recruiting - Responsible for ensuring that staffing levels and needs are met and maintained for plant operations and other department areas in the company.
  • Create exceptional and vigorous search strategies to identify and attract the highest caliber of talent
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting to support multiple lines of business
  • Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications
  • Stay current on market trends, diversity recruiting, and utilizing data to perform analyses to identify current and future talent needs
  • Participate in career fairs, networking events, and campus recruiting activities
  • Working across the organization with key stakeholders such as Human Resources, Compensation, and the Business to ensure a superior client and candidate experience



Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Identifies, develops, implements, evaluates, measures, and improves the recruiting process for hourly and salaried positions while maintaining required staffing as directed by Operations and/or Corporate. Establishes an effective and efficient working relationship with plant management and Corporate customers which creates an environment that facilitates the interviewing process, thus enabling the hiring of qualified applicants. If applicable, provides training and direction to the hourly staff to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations concerning the interviewing process and AAP compliance. Creates new and innovative methods to improve the recruitment process and to continually improve the experience and skill set of applicants. Recommends to management for approval, implements, measures, audits, and reports results to management. Achieves measurable results that demonstrate improvement in hiring ratio, i.e. applicants versus hires. Ensures all required paperwork, e.g., application, reference checks, and interview notes, are completed.

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience Requirements

3-5 years’ experience. Previous experience in a staffing role within a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required. Proven knowledge of laws surrounding the interview process. Exposure to AAP requirements as it applies to the recruitment, interviewing, selection process. Proven track record of innovative methods to recruit the targeted workforce and that results in turnover reduction. Requires an ability to think ahead and plan over a 1 to 3-year time span. Must be able to multi-task and organize multiple protocols and projects and complete on schedule. Requires strong analytical skills, ability to analyze and resolve problems at both a strategic and functional level. Must be able to communicate to all levels of the organization, provide excellent customer service, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Requires knowledge of and a commitment to team performance and effective coaching. Requires travel to other facilities and plants for meeting and/or company business.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies and equipment. When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db. to 110 db. May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility. Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company. May need to climb ladders.
