Summary

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Direct and lead the Operations Management Team to fulfill business objectives, emphasizing skill development and team cohesion. Including hiring, training, leading, motivate, engage and developing staff to meet the needs of the Business Units.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations, promoting a culture of safety and sustainability within all operational activities.
  • Oversee the management of production operations across all blending plants, including strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage all aspects of storage operations, including negotiating contracts with external warehouses, planning for optimal storage locations, and ensuring cost-effectiveness and supply chain integrity.
  • Guarantee that product quality standards are consistently met and that routine and preventative maintenance programs are effectively managed to support uninterrupted operations.
  •  Oversee capital expenditures for both production and storage assets, ensuring investments align with strategic business goals and contribute to operational excellence.
  • Work closely with departments across the organization, facilitating a collaborative approach to operational challenges and opportunities.
  • Define, implement, and monitor Key Performance Indicators for both production and storage operations to ensure alignment with business objectives and operational targets.
  • Maintain constant interaction with business unit leaders to ensure the alignment of commercial strategies with operational capacities and capabilities, adapting operations to meet market demands efficiently.
  • Display flexibility and adaptability in managing a range of tasks and challenges, demonstrating a proactive approach to evolving business needs

Minimum Education

  • BS Degree in Agriculture Management, Business, Engineering or related 
  • MBA preferred 

Experience Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience with a robust understanding of manufacturing operations, safety and environmental programs, and commodity markets
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

  • Able to move freely throughout the facilities including climbing vertical heights (0 - 150'), carrying tools and equipment (0-50 pounds), exposure to extreme temperatures (0-100 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 - 100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available).   Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus. Required to travel to remote AgriBusiness facilities and other offsite locations.  Able to operate a motor vehicle.  Able to use standard office equipment and communicate on the telephone.
