The primary responsibility of the Senior Manager, Organization Development is to partner with the Finance, IT and Perdue Business Leaders to prepare and adopt new ways of working resulting from the implementation of Business Process Reengineering (BPR). This may include design and accountability for rollout of business processes and/or organization structure, and job roles. The position is a full-time position reporting into the VP Talent Management with a dotted line to the CIO.  They are a member of the Program Leadership team with an active role in participation and in contribution to regularly scheduled leadership meetings for BPR.   

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead organizational change management efforts across the project leveraging the change strategy developed during the initial phase.
  • Create OCM strategy for BPR and other major change programs; build change management action plans; includes assessment, understanding of organizational change readiness and deliver programs, plans to address.
  • Lead change management activities with cross functional team members and stakeholders to explain, manage and reinforce change throughout transformation lifecycle; includes development and delivery of change readiness or change management learning/ training solutions.
  • Partner with the systems integrator who creates the technical the training materials and delivers the train-the-trainer sessions to ensure team coordination.
  • Leads identification of Perdue resources across HR, Operations and other functions to develop and deliver additional training and/or other solutions as needed.
  • Create presentations to facilitate discussions with stakeholders to ensure clear expectations and understanding with respect to compliance and accountability.
  • Create and implement effective feedback loops and metrics to identify and report on awareness, understanding, buy-in and ownership of change; includes design of programs, process to handle potential and/or expressed resistance.
  • Provide direct support and coaching to executives, managers, and staff to help coach their teams through transition.
  • Partnering with Corporate Communications, ensure the development and delivery of two-way communications with stakeholders to build consensus leading to adoption of new systems and processes. 

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in change management or change related areas minimum; 8+ preferred; 3 years human resources generalist experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders in multiple ways and build credibility quickly with key leaders, project peers and impacted audiences
  • Experience in complex organizational change management, along with a solid understanding of how people achieve success through change
  • Experience in enterprise wide digital transformation (BPR) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated business engagement and influencing skills
  • Experience in human resources to be better able to bridge the human capital change implications across and into local based HR resources or HR centers of excellence; for example, connecting recruiting with managers at the right time in the process to proactively source and hire; or, connecting a manager with local HR to manage a restructure and partner with the resource to ensure execution  
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Experience with program management approaches, tools and phases of the program lifecycle - project management experience strongly desired
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations, dealing with complexity and time pressure
  • Critical business expertise and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
  • Well-developed organizational sensitivity; successful experience working with the most senior levels in the organization
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills
  • Previous ERP implementation experience is preferred but not required
