Perdue AgriBusiness is seeking an Supply Chain Planner to support our growing Animal Nutrition division in Salisbury, MD. The essential purpose of the AN Inventory Planner position is to manage and optimize inventory levels to support operational efficiency and meet business objectives. This involves coordinating the supply chain, analyzing inventory data for informed decision-making, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and maintaining compliance with quality standards. The role is pivotal in balancing demand and supply, driving process improvements, and responding swiftly to market changes to uphold customer satisfaction and competitive advantage.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Inventory Management and Planning: Utilize forecasts to develop comprehensive storage and movement plans. This includes tracking FA/AA containers, updating ETAs, and ensuring efficient utilization of warehouse spacing. 
• Order and Logistics Coordination: Enter inbound load orders in AgTech with cost accruals and collaborate with Logistics to determine rates, availability, and ETAs. This also includes processing the physical unloading of containers in AgTech. 
• Financial and Contract Oversight: Handle monthly FA/AA warehouse storage billing, investigate out-of-scope payables, and monitor purchase contract performance, alerting procurement of any discrepancies.
• Inventory Communication and Accuracy: Regularly update and publish warehouse inventory levels for the sales team, coordinate product-to-product transfer for accurate costing, and conduct monthly inventory reconciliation. 
• Customer Service and Claims Management: Provide necessary support to the customer service team and coordinate with the claims department to minimize claim costs, ensuring efficient resolution and customer satisfaction. 

Minimum Education

• Required: High School Graduate or GED
• Preferred: BS Degree (AgriBusiness, Business, or Sales & Marketing) 

Experience Requirements

• 3 -5 years of supply chain and/or warehouse inventory management 
• Understanding of Sales and Marketing concepts 
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong negotiating skills
• Understanding of transportation modes and methodologies 
• Understanding of standard software applications

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Normal climate-controlled office spaces.  Able to operate a motor vehicle and travel to and from customer locations.  Able to use standard office equipment including telephones, computers, copiers, etc.  Able to move freely about plant and customer facilities.  May be exposed to external weather conditions to include rain, snow, and extreme temperatures (0 - 100 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 - 100%), and noise (50db to 100db).    Able to lift to 50 pounds.  Occasional overnight travel may be required.
