Purpose of Position:

To produce SAFE and CLEAN potable water for the consumption of human and the processing of poultry.  Follow strict federal, state and local regulations. 

Hours of Operation:

  • Mid shift 3PM to 11:30PM

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operation and maintenance of Water Plant with little or no supervision available at times.
  • Must conform to all safety policies and rules (PPE) ect..
  • Must abide by Federal, State and local laws.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and determine what actions to be taken to correct the issue.
  • Professionalism is a must, as operator you should be able and willing to communicate with other operators and problem solve together
  • Creates and maintains a safe and clean environment that meets Perdue standards and policies.  company policies and procedures.
  • To meet operating, safety, and quality requirements within the department / area.
  • Maintain and support an environment for all associates that provide and promote open communication, trust, leadership, credibility, associate development, and empowerment.

  • Uphold Company policies and procedures.

Minimum Education

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.

Experience Requirements

  • Must have a up to date class III or a IV-A license from the State of Kentucky.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

  • The environmental factors and/or physical requirements of this position include the following:
  • Moving and working on wet, dry, moist floors which included metal and plastic grating surfaces, up to 4 hours in a single interval. 
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders. 
  • Exposures to all elements of an outdoor environment. 
  • Exposure to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. 
  • Both ambient and 100% humidity. 
  • Exposure to noise levels of 50 db to 110 db. 
  • Bending, twisting, lifting, reaching, sitting, and grasping varies in repetitions, distances, degrees, angle, weights, height, intervals of time, objects grasped, and body positions depending upon the task being performed. 
  • Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the company. 
  • Required to travel to other facilities and plants for meetings and/or business.
