Summary

The Regional Sales Manager is a results-driven sales professional responsible for managing day-to-day coordination and collaboration of R&D, Innovation, FSQA and Customer Service.  This role serves as a key liaison between internal teams and external personnel, supporting strategic national account customers in alignment with the Director of Sales and customer objectives. The NASM plays a critical role in building, sustaining, and expanding strong, long-term partnerships with key accounts, and will also support sales initiatives at the regional level as needed.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with foodservice directors and cross-functional teams to manage R&D project work for key strategic national accounts.
  • Lead the resolution of customer complaints by collaborating with FSQA and ops personnel as needed and respond to customer questions and issues.
  • Manage, update and coordinate contracts, pricing inputs and correspondence through customer service and customer portals.
  • Develop and execute strategies to acquire, grow, and retain accounts at regional chain level. 
  • Represent Perdue at customer meetings, tradeshows, and key industry events.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the National team and company objectives.
  • This manager will present a professional presence in our oral, written, and personal interaction.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business-related field plus five years related protein product/category (5 yrs. at a manager level controlling larger actions), work experience required in Foodservice or Consumer packaged product experience. Our ideal candidate will have/be: 

  • Strong strategic and analytical skills to balance short – and long-term business goals.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, set and meet business commitments.
  • Proven ability to proactively identify business issues and develop and implement successful programs to grow sales profitably.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills in cross-functional team environments with excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.  

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

The position is to be remote based with travel to customers, events and Perdue locations as needed.
