Summary

This position supports the onboarding  of new associates by assisting with the Job Preview Program (JPP), New Hire orientation program, and intitial training in their assigned work arears. This role also involves assisting the Associate Relations Representative to help maintain positive associate relations and may include providing guidance to new associates as they learn proper job functions, safe work habits, rotation procedures and appropriate food safety measures.

Shift Hours are generally from 10:30PM to 7:30AM (3rd Shift). 

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for introducing newly hired associates into the organization through orientation sessions under the direction of the Associate Relations Representative.
  • Coordinates with Line Leads, Trainers, and Retention Supervisors to ensure the newly employed associates are properly informed of policies, procedures, health and safety guidelines. Reporting issues to the Associate Relations Representative.
  • Monitor associate's progress and report to supervisor and Associate Relations on a daily basis.
  • Reinforce evaluation procedures, clock-in and clock-out procedures.
  • Work with Associate Relations Representative to improve processes and efficiencies.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements including PPE, preventing, and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, lockout-tagout procedures and Process Safety Management related matters.

Experience Requirements

A minimum of 1 (one) year of consecutive work history with one employer within the past 3 years. Experience in poultry processing/manufacturing environment. Excellent computer skills required. Demonstrated ability for accuracy, meeting deadlines, experience in multi-tasking and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Minimum Education

High School or equivalent 

Experience Preferred

Experience in poultry processing/manufacturing environment preferred.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

  1. Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings and to the production floor.
  2. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
  3. May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
  4. Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
  5. When in a plant environment:
  • Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
  • May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
  • May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
  • May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
  • Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
