Summary

We are recruiting for an AP Resolution Specialist.  This role will be responsible for managing and resolving discrepancies related to vendor invoices.  The role will primarily be responsible for resolving excel blocks based on resolutions sent in by the various locations. This role requires strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure timely and accurate processing. The position is responsible for following corporate accounts payable policies and procedures for all Perdue payments to vendors and growers.

This is an onsite role at our Salisbury, MD Corporate Offices.

This position has a target wage of  $20.80 - $31.20  per hour, based on shift, experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance). Overtime may be available.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for resolving blocked invoices relating to pricing, quantity, or other issues
  • Responsible for processing invoices as required while following Perdue rules and guidelines.
  • Resolves invoice/payment issues and gives guidance to internal and external customers.
  • Responsible for adherence to Purchasing and Accounts Payable policies.
  • Maintaining documentation of resolutions and errors as needed.
  • Communicates effectively with both external and internal customers about invoice and accounts payable check related issues.
  • Apply AP practices including PO and non-PO invoice requirements, vendor statements, 2- and 3-way matching, GRIR and 1099.

Minimum Education and Experience Required

REQUIRED:   Associate’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science or other business related field plus 1 – 2 years related work experience or in the absence of an Associate’s degree, total work experience equals 3 years. 

  • Must have excellent computer skills in Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook and be a fast learner as new technology and systems are consistently introduced within the department. 
  • Must be team oriented and be able to work effectively with others.
  • Must be knowledgeable of payment and bank requirements. 
  • Must be able to demonstrate common sense, logical thinking, and the ability to make good business decisions.

Technical Knowledge:

  • SAP Accounts Payable, Maximo, PaperWise, SAP General Ledger.
  • Microsoft Products including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

1. Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
2. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
3. May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
4. Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
