Summary

We are recruiting for an Environmental Compliance and Sustainability Data & Reporting Analyst. This role provides Environmental analysis for all Federal, state, and county environmental reporting in support of Perdue.  This position will be responsible for the coordination, preparation, presentation and analysis of various Environmental programs, systems, and processes for both internal management reporting and external governmental reporting.

The salary range for this position is $63,000 - $95,000  per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Collect, track, analyze and report Perdue’s Corporate Sustainability Data and Environmental Scorecard:

  • Utilize the environmental data tracking platform (SustainaBase/ISS) to collate scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions and track progress relative to corporate sustainability goals.
  • Report emissions impacts to regulatory bodies and customers as needed.
  • Leverage the platform in conjunction with the environmental team to drive improvements toward our corporate environmental goals.
  • Elevate environmental data management by developing the use of the platform and integrations with other Perdue systems.

Manage and maintain EnviroMart/Essbase and all associated processes to produce the Environmental Compliance/Sustainability Scorecards and associated reports: 

  • Collect monthly data for all relevant company facilities.
  • Analyze facility weekly/monthly/yearly data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Track Notice of Violations and other sustainability metrics for the scorecard.
  • Track and evaluate Facility Sustainable/Associate Engagement Projects for the scorecard.
  • Communicate with Environmental Managers/Site Contacts and address any questions regarding data errors, scorecard metrics and necessary documentation required.
  • Write back facility data to the Essbase EnviroMart.
  • Provide compliance and environmental performance data as needed.

Research, receive, analyze and track relevant environmental laws and regulations:

  • Remain current with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Communicate and support the environmental team with data related to regulatory compliance.
  • For example, utilize the EnviroMart data for facilities that trip Green House Gas Reporting thresholds (stationary fuel burning sources and anaerobic lagoons) for EPA reporting submissions

Experience and Education Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in sustainability, environmental science, data science, analytics, or a related discipline

Experience:

2-5 years of experience in environmental sustainability or compliance preferred:

  • Excellent proficiency in the use of Microsoft Suite
  • Knowledge of Power BI tool is desirable.
  • Knowledge of relevant sustainability disclosures and understanding of the Greenhouse Gas Protocols is desirable.
  • Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting methods and tools to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Time management skills to prioritize tasks and ensure projects are completed in line with the project plan.
  • Proven analytical skills to derive meaningful insights from data.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external clients and partners.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

  1. Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
  2. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
  3. May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
  4. Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
