Summary
The Parts Cage Clerk issues parts and operating supplies, perform data entry, complete requisitions for parts and operating supplies, and run computer requisitions.The Clerk is also responsible for maintaining accurate inventories, check incoming freight, prepare outgoing freight shipments, maintain the parts cage cleanliness and support and foster safe operations.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Issue parts, tools & supplies
- Data entry, receiving, managing any issues
- Maintain accurate inventory
- Restock parts and supplies upon receiving shipments
- General housekeeping and upkeep of working area
- Fill in for other parts clerks in their absence
- Maintian and promote a safe working environment
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
Experience Requirements
- One year of related experience preferred.
- Strong computer knowledge required.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Work environment includes, but is not limited to, a normal warehouse environment as well as climate extremes found in poultry processing operation:
- Required to move throughout the plant.
- Temperatures range from 60°F to 90°F with varying light intensity of 50-75 foot candles.
- Noise level is normally less than 80dB.
- Some tasks are performed while in a walking or standing on a wet to damp floor. For period of 3-4 hours in a single interval.
- Routinely required to move over 100 feet at any given time and must perform repetitive tasks ranging from 21-25 repetitions per minute.
- Frequently requires bending up to 50 degrees, some stooping, reaching up to 6 feet and outward 1-2 feet, and lifting up to 40-80 pounds.
- Must wear and or use protective and safety equipment required for the job and various locations.
- Periodic exposure to temperature extremes required when accessing production area or storage facilities.
- Occasional exposure to chlorine at 30ppm and carbon dioxide at 5ppm and ammonia up to 3ppm.
