Summary
The purpose of this position is to maintain effluent discharge compliance and operation of offal and wastewater.
- Schedule: 2nd Shift (6pm-6am)
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain effluent discharge compliance.
- Load offal and feather trailers without mixing product.
- Perform assigned Preventative Maintenance.
- Maintain all paperwork.
- Repair and maintain all equipment in offal and wastewater.
- Adhere to all safety requirements including PPE, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures and Process Safety
- Management related matters.
Minimum Education
- A High School diploma or GED preferred.
Experience Requirements
- 0-2 Years experience.
Experience Preferred
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
- Position is active.
- On the plant floor activities such as troubleshooting and re-design of existing systems are routine.
- May need to move equipment occasionally.
- May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
- Position requires as associate to have the ability to move throughout the complex and all facilities.
- Work may include lifting (up to 70 lbs), to heights of 5" to 84", reaching, bending and/or pushing.
- When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
- May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
- May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
- May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
- May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facilities.
- Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the company.
