Summary
The Nutrition and Feeds Research Manager will lead and execute research and development activities focused on innovative feed products, nutritional solutions, and technologies for livestock and companion animals. This role will manage projects from concept to commercialization, collaborates cross-functionally, and provides scientific and technical leadership to support the company’s growth and competitive advantage in the animal nutrition and feed industry.
The salary range for this position is $84,000 - $126,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and lead R&D projects for new feed products, premixes, additives, or nutritional programs.
- Formulate innovative products based on nutritional requirements, regulatory constraints, and market trends.
- Evaluate novel ingredients and technologies for potential application in feed formulations.
- Design and oversee laboratory trials, in vivo studies, and field evaluations to validate product efficacy and safety.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Monitor emerging trends, scientific advancements, and competitive products in animal nutrition.
- Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Regulatory, Quality, and Production teams to align R&D efforts with business goals.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful execution.
- Maintain documentation of experimental protocols, data, and project outcomes.
Education and Experience Requirements
Masters of Science (Animal Science, Dairy Science) is required with a PhD preferred (Animal Nutrition, Biochemistry, Animal Sciences). Our ideal candidate will have:
- 7+ years of related work experience
- Understanding of feed analysis
- Understanding of feed formulation
- Understanding of sales and marketing in the feed industry
- Understanding of experimental design
- Understanding of data analysis and interpretation
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Able to move freely throughout the AgriBusiness facilities to include climbing vertical heights (0 - 150'), exposure to extreme temperatures (0-100 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 - 100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available). Able to use standard office and communication equipment. Required to travel to remote Company facilities and travel to meetings with suppliers and customers.
