Summary

Perdue AgriBusiness has an exciting opportunity for Maintenance Parts Clerk at our facility located in Cofield, NC. This position is responsible for providing courtesy, accurate, and timely service in the issuing of parts, tools, lubricants and consumables to the plant's internal customers. Maintain the security and accuracy of the parts room inventory.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Verify packing slips with received materials, update the Maximo system, and report discrepancies to Management.
  • Monitor stock levels and generate purchase request to management to maintain required inventories.
  • Document all Issues into the computerized Inventory control system. Generate usage reports to Management as required.
  • Contact suppliers to expedite or order parts during non-regular business hours to meet customer needs.
  • Maintain files of PO's and Packing slips to meet company requirements.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the Inventory system using random and scheduled Cycle Counts.
  • Assist other departments by holding stock and non-stock items for designated Work Orders or Projects.
  • Work with Purchasing and Maintenance to evaluate materials to insure quality standards.
  • Work with Maintenance to continually find ways to reduce Inventory levels.
  • Pick up material from local vendors as needed.
  • Inspect equipment as required.
  • General warehouse/office housekeeping.

Minimum Education

  • High school graduate or GED

Experience Requirements

  • 1 -3 years experience of professional parts room experience
  • Understanding of standard software applications - Maximo highly preferred
  • Strong math, communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Valid state driver's license
  • Able to be certified to operate a fork lift

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

  • Able to move freely throughout the AgriBusiness facilities to include climbing vertical heights (0 - 150')
  • Able to carry tools and equipment (0 -50 lbs)
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures (0-100 degree Fahrenheit)
  • Humidity (0 - 100%)
  • Noise (50db to 100db)
  • Chemical (MSDS sheets available)
  • Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus, hard hat, safety glasses, protective footwear and other PPE as required
