Summary

Perdue AgriBusiness, LLC, has an immediate opening for a Soy Ops Quality Assurance Technician at our Soybean Processing facility in Cofield, NC. This position is responsible for to perform quality assurance analyses of crush products and to document analytical results.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform routine physical checks, tests, and audits of raw materials, in-progress items, and finished product.
  • Adhere to internal and external quality standards, safety guidelines, and efficiency targets.
  • Identify, document, and disposition non-conforming products; investigate root causes of failures.
  • Create quality reports, maintain records and update quality procedures.
  • Develop and implement corrective/preventive actions and recommend process enhancements to reduce waste and improve quality.
  • Work with operations, and management to resolve issues and identify processes.
  • Perform all work within safety guidelines established by local, state and federal agencies as well as company policies, and within established CGMP’s.
  • Backfill in positions when shifts are short on manpower.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Education

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant technical experience (preferred)
  • Reading, writing and math skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical skills, problem solving, and communication

Experience Requirements

  • 2-4 years of Professional experience around data analysis, auditing principles, relevant industry standards, soybean processing manufacturing process.
  • Previous QA experience preferred, knowledge of the operational mechanics of a solvent extraction facility.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Able to move freely throughout the Production areas to include climbing vertical heights (0 - 150'), carrying equipment or samples (0-50 pounds), exposure to extreme temperatures  (0-100 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 - 100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available).   Must be able to wear protective equipment.
