Summary
Join our team as a Hatchery Associate on the 3rd Shift! We’re looking for dedicated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to upholding the highest standards of quality and safety. As a Hatchery Associate, you'll assist with daily hatchery operations, egg handling, chick care, and facility maintenance to ensure efficent production of healthy chicks.
The regular schedules for 3rd shift for Hatchery Associate are as followed:
Sunday/Monday Night & Wednesday/Thursday Night 6:00pm to 4:30am

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with egg handling, sorting and packing
- Clean and disinfect equipment, incubators, and facilities
- Maintain accurate records of egg production, hatch rates, and chick quality
- Assist with chick vaccination and beak trimming
- Monitor and maintain proper temperature and humidity levels
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth opertations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Education
- High School or equivalent beneficial but not required
Experience Preferred
- Six months of steady work history is preferred
- Experience in protein processing/manufacturing preferred
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
When in a hatchery environment:
- Must work around dander, feathers, feed, and bedding
- Be in direct contact with live, young poultry
- Exposure to intense cleaning and disinfection
- Must work in wet surfaces used for easy cleaning create a high risk of slips, trips, and falls
- Incubator rooms and wash rooms can have high temperatures and humidity
- Constant operation of fans, ventilation systems, and machinery can lead to noise exposure
- Repeitive motions tasks involving fast hand and wrist movements
- Handling heavy trays of eggs, bags of feed, or full chick boxes, often requiring bending or awkward positions, contributes
