Join our team as a WPL Line Lead on the 1st Shift! As a WPL Line Lead, you’ll supervise, train, and coordinate line associates, and maintain acurate production records in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Label Verification: Constantly check that labels show the correct product name, sell-by date, lot code, and nutritional info.
- Weight Tolerance: Perform regular checks to ensure product weights are within allowed tolerances to prevent "short-weighting" or "over-packing.
- Packaging Integrity: Inspect seals and wraps to ensure products are airtight and meet "A-Grade" specifications.
- Production Records: Maintain accurate logs including downtime reports, line efficiency, and waste generation.
- Safety & Sanitation: Ensure the team follows all PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements and keeps the workstation clean (sanitizing scales and belts).
Minimum Education
- High School or equivalent beneficial but not required
Experience Preferred
Experience: Usually requires at least 6 months of steady work history. Previous lead or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
Skills: Basic computer skills (for programming the labels) and strong math skills (for weight/pricing verification).
Physical: Must be able to stand for long periods in a cold, damp environment (approx. 40°F - 45°F) and lift up to 50 lbs.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
When in a plant environment:
- Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces
- May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity
- May handle products from 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit
- May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 dB to 110 db
- May be exposed to dust, feathers and all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility
- You must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company
- Occasional exposure to carbon dioxide vapors 10ppm and chlorine less than 20 ppm
- Able to stand for several hours.
- Work may include lifting (up to 50 lbs.), reaching, bending, pushing boxes on conveyor assembly
