Summary

The purpose of a Kronos Administrative Clerk is to facilitate the functionalities of Kronos attendance for all plant operations. These duties would be done by performing and administering various tasks that include correcting missed punches, inputting exceptions, multiple reasons for days off and tardiness in Kronos. This individual will also be responsible for coordinating a request for time off calendar with all members of management by department and verifying request prior to entering them into Kronos. The position will also be responsible for additional reporting functions in the regards to time and attendance as noted in the principal job responsibilities.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Review the attendance of every department on their selective shift.
  • Enter all management approved exceptions into the Kronos system. 

  • Coordinates by department & shift a calendar that reflects approved days off for associates to be entered into the Kronos system post mgmt approval.

  • Print, distribute, track, collect and forward to Human Resources all attendance counseling in a timely progression order, once they have been reviewed with the associate by their supervisor. 

  • Maintain a running weekly list by department of all associates over 4.5 points. Send out list to immediate Supervisors, Unit Leaders, and Human Resources.

  • Utilize attendance trend information to inform management of potential attendance concerns by but no limited to individual, day of the week, time of year, etc.

  • Comprehend written materials, alphabetize other work, reason logically and adapt to a very busy environment.

  • Relate and administer pertinent basic attendance policies and procedure fairly and constantly to all associates.

  • Review all completed forms, computer reports, and other miscellaneous paperwork for accuracy.

  • Work in conjunction with Human Resources to ensure that Sedgwick updates are correct and done timely.

Minimum Education

High School or equivalent

Experience Requirements

  • Office administrative, clerical and computer skills with a working knowledge of Kronos, Windows, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Strong reading, communication writing, analytical and math skills required.
  • 2 Years 0 Months in an administrative or a clerical position. 
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Experience Preferred

 Two years of college

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

  • Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
  • May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
  • May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
  • Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
  • When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
  • May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
  • May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
  • May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
  • Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
