Summary
The main purpose of this position is to clean setter and farm racks using a pressure washer. This person will clean the work area each day and follow proper poultry welfare guidelines.
This position has a base rate of $16.49 per hour, with opportunities for pay premiums, shift differentials and overtime where applicable. Annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for power washing setter racks and farm racks that are received from the transfer crew.
- Adhere to individual facility embrex vaccinating schedules.
- Maintain the required sanitation scores in accordance with facility S.O.P. This is to include but not limited to Setter and Hatcher hallway sanitation, floors and drains
- Fill in when needed on the transfer crew
- Must be able to use broom, shovel, mop and scrub brushes to remove chick down, and work with chemicals to effectively wash and disinfect hatchers through hand scrubbing and high-pressure washer.
- Any other duties assigned by management.
Minimum Education
- High school or equivalent
Experience Requirements
- Worked a minimum of 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer within the past 3 years.
Experience Preferred
- Some basic mechanical/electrical knowledge also preferred
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Exposed to temperatures ranging from 60 to 105 degrees Fahrenheit and humidities up to 100%. Exposed to chemicals, drups and vaccines to be covered in MSDS training and hazardous communications. Use personal protective equipment as required. Ability to lift 4 lbs. to a height of 6 feet, to push 75 lbs. a distance of 75 feet and lift 20 - 25 lbs. to a height of 3 feet. Must be able to work in a wet, damp, dusty (chick down) environment.
