Summary
This position is responsible for visually checking and recording machine temperatures and humidity on all incubators, hatchers and halls. Contact maintenance if any problems occur. Unload and load egg trucks, tray eggs, stack chick boxes and some sanitation.
Shift
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 5pm to 5am and Saturday 5am to 5pm.
Compensation:
This position has a base rate of $16.49 per hour, with opportunities for pay premiums, shift differentials and overtime where applicable. Annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Every three hours associate must visually check all incubators, hatchers and halls for proper running temperature and humidity levels and record readings in safety chain. Respond to any alarms promptly.
2. When a mechanical problem is found, the associate must attempt to correct the problem or call a maintenance associate immediately for assistance.
3. Unload egg trucks as they arrive. Trucks will have up to 36 farm racks weighing 500lbs each that will have to be pushed a distance of 100 ft. Reload truck with clean empty racks weighing 150lbs each. Clean the egg room floor.
4. Assist in traying eggs prior to set. Set eggs according to the set sheet. Making sure machines are level and hooked up properly.
5. Stack chick boxes in the box room. Clean and organize the chick floor.
6. Any other duties assigned by management.
Minimum Education
High School or equivalent not required but beneficial.
Experience Requirements
Experience in poultry processing/manufacturing environment preferred

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
2. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
3. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
4. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
5. May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
6. May be exposed to dust, feathers and all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
7. Able to stand for several hours.
8. Work may include lifting (up to 50 lbs), reaching, bending, pushing boxes on conveyor assembly.
9. Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company
