Summary:
Join our team as a Garage Supervisor and lead the frontline technicians who keep our fleet on the road. In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee the diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of critical equipment, ensuring every vehicle meets OEM specifications and DOT safety regulations. As a champion of fleet reliability and operational excellence, you will foster a safe, high-performing work environment while serving as a key partner to our drivers and management teams.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead and train fleet technicians in diagnosing and repairing equipment while enforcing safety protocols and a culture of excellence.
- Schedule and prioritize repairs to minimize downtime and ensure all work complies with DOT and OEM standards.
- Maintain accurate service records for audits and ensure all activities align with OSHA and company safety policies.
- Manage technician workloads and inventory levels, coordinating with vendors for necessary parts and supplies.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and provide data-driven decisions to improve overall fleet maintenance strategies.
- Partner closely with drivers and operations teams to address maintenance needs and report on fleet performance trends.
Required:
- High School Graduate or GED with a strong understanding of mechanical processes and standard computer software.
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred:
- A 1–3 years of prior supervisory experience and ASE certifications.
- Valid CDL license.
Environmental factors and physical requirements:
- Ability to move freely throughout the garage, including climbing heights up to 50 feet and carrying tools or equipment weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Must be able to perform road service calls in all weather conditions.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures (0°F to 100°F), high humidity, noise levels up to 100db, and various chemicals.
- Must be able to wear all required protective equipment.
