Summary

Shape the HR strategy and drive operational excellence as the Human Resources Plant Manager. In this role, you will oversee the HR team and partner closely with Operations to ensure the plant is staffed with skilled, engaged, and high-performing associates. You will influence workforce programs, policies, and practices to support a fair, compliant, and safe workplace while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and positive organizational change. This role is ideal for a strategic, people-focused professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys developing talent, and excels at building strong partnerships across all levels of the organization.

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage the Human Resources staff, including hiring, training and development, ensuring all services are provided on time and cost effective.
  • Manage programs, policies and procedures ensuring fair application and practices as well as legal compliance.
  • Train around providing medical, security and safety services in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Provide leadership and management of the work environment via the use of the PBIP (Positive Behavior Intervention Plan) and QIP (Quality Improvement Plan).
  • Keep the facility appropriately staffed with competent hourly and salaried associates through acceptable employment practices.
  • Take a leadership role in creating the environment which fosters change and be a leader in change management.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Economics or related discipline and 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in problem-solving automated timekeeping systems and orientation of new associates.
  • Ability to multi-task and organize multiple projects.
  • Strong analytical skills, analyze and resolve problems at both a strategic and functional level.
  • Knowledge of and ability to provide strong customer orientation along with the ability to communicate to all levels of the organization and a commitment to excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A commitment to team performance, effective coaching and demonstrated skills or a strong team player.
  • Ability to travel to other facilities and plants for meetings and/or company business.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

  • Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
  • May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
  • May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
  • Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
  • May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
  • May handle products from 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db. to 110 db.
  • May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, and processing facility.
  • Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
  • May need to climb ladders.
