Summary
Support a seamless and positive onboarding experience while helping keep essential HR processes running smoothly. As an Employment Process Clerk, you will support employee lifecycle transactions within the HR systems, conduct new hire orientation and assist associates with benefit questions and transactions. In this role, you will help ensure accurate records, timely processing, and a welcoming experience for new hires and associates. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys supporting HR operations, working with people, and contributing to an efficient and organized workplace.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct new hire orientation, ensures all aspects of the onboarding process and required training is completed timing in the system.
- Onsite contact for benefits related questions/enrollment, this includes benefit fairs, open enrollment and related verifications.
- Supports the Employment Process Administrator.
- Coordinates with Associate Recruiter to ensure all new hire paperwork requirements are consistently met.
- Follows established retention policies and perform audits to ensure data integrity reporting audit results to management.
- Ensures all personnel activity of the associate is entered into the HR database.
- Utilizes all HR reporting tools. i. e., manpower, headcount, and other required reports, to perform audits and generate reports.
- Makes recommendations to improve processes and efficiencies.
- Answer all calls and transfer calls as needed.
- Assign employee lockers.
- Generates employee badges.
- Keep all associate forms stocked.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field.
- In the absence of a degree, work experience may be considered.
- 0 - 2 years’ experience.
- Knowledge and experience of HRIS.
- Proven success in handling administrative responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability for accuracy, meeting deadlines, experience in multi-tasking and ability to work with minimum supervision.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Prior experience using HR/Payroll database systems
- Associate’s Degree is preferred.
- Fluency in Spanish and Creole
Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors
- Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
- May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
- May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
- Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
