Summary

Join a dedicated healthcare team where your contributions truly make a difference as a Certified Medical Assistant! In this role, you’ll play an active part in supporting nurses and healthcare providers to deliver exceptional patient care. You’ll help keep daily operations running smoothly, assist with both clinical and administrative tasks, and ensure every patient receives attentive, quality service. This position has a target wage of $26.00 - $39.25 per hour, based on shift, experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance). Overtime may be available.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with triage and treatment of workplace injuries and minor illnesses.
  • Provide first aid for lacerations, burns, musculoskeletal injuries, and minor trauma.
  • Support return-to-work assessments, light-duty programs, and fit-for-duty screenings.
  • Administer vaccinations and other preventive health measures under supervision.
  • Prepare and maintain medical supplies and equipment.
  • Conduct and document health screenings: audiometry, vision, respirator fit testing, drug/alcohol testing, biometric screenings.
  • Support OSHA and corporate safety documentation requirements.
  • Assist with Bloodborne Pathogen exposure protocols and compliance.
  • Promote employee wellness initiatives such as vaccination clinics, health education, and ergonomic awareness.
  • Engage with employees to encourage early reporting and preventive care.
  • Support safety campaigns and workplace health initiatives.
  • Maintain confidential medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist in tracking injury trends and health program metrics.
  • Collaborate with LPN/RN and Safety/HR teams to support overall occupational health operations.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Minimum 1–2 years clinical experience, preferably in occupational health, urgent care, or primary care.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential.
  • Current certification in CPR in good standing.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong assessment, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Occupational experience, experience in manufacturing or high-volume clinical settings preferred.
  • All healthcare staff must adhere to the company immunization policy; provide proof of training, certification and/or license.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bilingual (Spanish or Haitian Creole).

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

  • Position is active and requires movement throughout the processing plant and surrounding environments of the off-site facilities such as feed mills, hatchery, distribution center, and farms.
  • Must be able to see, touch, smell & record findings in writing or electronically.  Manual dexterity for clinical procedures.
  • Can move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
  • Have ability to respond as needed to medical emergencies in all areas of the complex.
  • Must have ability to move throughout the processing plant & surrounding environments of the off-site facilities, such as feed mills, hatchery, etc.
  • Majority of work in office or clinic setting, as well as inter-facility & external environmental conditions (e.g. noise levels, changes in temperature, humidity, etc.
  • May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.  May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db. to 110 db.
  • May be exposed to dust, feathers, and all chemicals used in poultry processing facility.
  • You must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
