Summary

The purpose of a Safety Trainer is to work with all associates to ensure that authorized, affected, and awareness level trainings are completed and current in accordance with all federal, state, local, and company requirements.

Schedule:  Monday-Friday 5:00am to 1:30 pm

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performs administrative duties to track completion of training, scheduling of classes and resources, compile and prepare statistical information on training program status
  • All Lock Out Tag Out Authorized training is 100% current and up to date each quarter
  • All Powered Industrial Truck Authorized training is 100% current and up to date each quarter
  • All Maintenance Safety Training is current
  • Keep track of and ensure 100% completion of all required monthly awareness topics
  • Other duties as directed







Minimum Education

  • High School or equivalent not required but beneficial.
  • Strong reading, communication, math, writing, and analytical skills are required

Experience Requirements

  • Previous Safety experience preferred.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

  • Temperature exposure is 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit. Dampness exposure is ambient.
  • Walking/standing surfaces are wet and/or moist.
  • Chemical exposure includes chlorinated water at less than (<50ppm), carbon dioxide vapors at less than (<10ppm), dry ice (C02) handling, and lubricating oils.
  • Noise exposure is 85-89.9 db and light intensity exposure is 120 foot candles.
  • Tools used include: knives, scissors, sharpening steel, shovel, and hand scoop.
  • Personal protection equipment/devices is hearing protection, vision protection (glasses/goggles), chain gloves, rubber gloves, cotton gloves, hard hat, lab coat and hair net.
  • Longest interval of time spent bending, twisting, lifting, reaching, grasping and walking is 4-8 hours with 1-3 repetitions/minute.
  • Maximum angle-forward is less than <45 degrees, maximum angle-backward is less than <2 degrees, and maximum angle-side is less than <10 degrees.
  • Maximum angle forward is less than <30 degrees.
  • Maximum weight lifted is 10-20 lbs with 1-3 lift repetitions/minute.
