Summary
The Account Team Supervisor is responsible for managing the customer order entry process along with key sales functions, i.e., booking features, pricing, etc. for assigned customers. Focused on customer satisfaction-responsiveness and flexibility in resolving customer order issues. This includes daily interaction with customers, brokers and other associates within the order management group, including logistics, data maintenance and claims management. Responsible for the management of a team of Account Reps and overseeing their accounts.
The salary range for this position is $73,000 - $109,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Manages customer service for assigned customers and achieve agreed company goal of customer service, providing the main point of contact for sales and merchandising managers. Spends 25-50% of their time supervising, training and overseeing a small group (1-4) associates.
2. Manages customer orders for specified customer, ensuring timely entry of orders, correct pricing, split into truckload quantities, confirm plant assignment or move if advised by supply planning and monitor order through to customer delivery and invoicing.
3. Manages sales specific functions such as book features, prepares market request, processes claim forms and payments, reviews broker commissions, and resolves deductions all in a timely manner.
4. Works with other members of the supply chain organization, such as demand planners, supply planners and logistics to resolve exceptions.
5. Makes visits to outside sales reps and key customers to increase understanding of their requirements and agree mutual actions which will improve the order fulfillment process
6. Escalates customer issues to Director of Customer Service and recommend actions for resolution. Examples would include orders always exceeding feature booking, add-ons occurring too frequently or order arriving too late to meet delivery requirements
7. Manages customer and broker calls from the field (product recommendations/pricing, availability, etc.), monitors customer programs and tonnage dollars. Manages distressed product sales within channel.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelors Degree in the areas of Sales, Marketing or Business Administration plus 5 – 6 years related work experience.
The ideal candidate will also have:
- Strong reading, writing, communication and analytical skills.
- Must be able to comprehend and understand customer protocol.
- Must have a good working knowledge of all processes within the supply chain, i.e., sales, marketing, forecasting, production planning, manufacturing and distribution.
- Must be able to negotiate, manage conflict and develop consensus with Merchandising managers.
- Must be able to analyze costs versus benefits in providing customer service.
- Must have a good understanding of IT systems and how they pass data between each other, e.g., SAP, Manugistics, CFS, SRP, etc.
- Must be able to travel to customer or plant facilities to include overnight travel.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
1. Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
2. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
3. May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
4. Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
5. When in a plant environment:
• Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
• May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
• May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
• May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
• May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
• Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
