Summary
This position is dedicated to leading the sales strategy and execution for specific product categories. You will be responsible for driving sales growth, achieving profitability targets and enhancing our market position within the assigned categories. This role requires a strong understanding of sales principles, category management and customer needs. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product Development and Supply Chain to develop effective sales strategies.
The salary range for this position is $84,000 - $126,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide daily, weekly, monthly and YTD reporting and analysis of Perdue’s (MSC) Mechanically Separated Chicken, By-Product and excess sales. To include Raw material movement, age rotation, MSC production and mix and excess volume sales in the above category.
- Sales forecasting and budgeting. Coordinate plant capabilities and mix to determine annual sales availability.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, and negotiate contract period and pricing, for key customers and stakeholders to understand their needs and drive sales.
- Be knowledgeable of all aspects of Perdue product lines being sold in channel.
- Provide the following as needed:
- Cross functional collaboration: Marketing, Sales, Production, Transportation and QA.
- Reporting/communication: Provide reports on category sales performance, market trends, and competitive activities.
- Track industry trends.
- Supply Planning: Utilization of raw materials.
- SAP order management: Be proficient in the SAP order management system.
- Sales experience:
- Strong negotiation/communication skills.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Communication/Presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Understanding of market dynamics.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing or Business Administration plus 5 years related experience, or in the absence of a Bachelor’s degree total experience or 10+ years Must be computer proficient.
- Must be able to analyze business categories and financial information.
- Requires oral and written skills.
- Must be able to travel to plant facilities and market areas to include overnight travel.
