Summary

Our Data Analytics team is continuing to grow! The Data Analytics Sr. Business Segment Leader role leads the deployment, adoption, and strategic use of analytics within Perdue’s Commercial organization to enable data-driven decision-making that drives revenue growth, margin improvement, customer retention, and competitive advantage. This role partners closely with Commercial leadership to embed analytics into strategic planning and operational execution, while coaching and enabling federated analytics teams to elevate analytics maturity.

This position is based in Corporate HQ in Salisbury, MD. Relocation assistance is available.

The salary range for this position is $126,000 - $190,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead for data, analytics, and data visualization within the Commercial segments, supporting executive and operational decision-making with data-backed scenarios.
  • Partner with commercial leadership to integrate analytics into strategic planning, performance tracking, and business optimization.
  • Perform and oversee advanced analysis, recommending appropriate statistical, predictive, and visualization methods, tools, and resources for complex commercial business problems, such as:
    • Channel performance and product portofolio contribution analysis.
    • Prediective models and elasticity analyses to guide pricing strategies.
    • Market trend, customer behavior, and competitor insight analysis.
    • Real-time dashboards tracking revenue, margin, conversion rates, and churn.
    • Segmentation and customer lifetime value (CLV) modeling.
  • Provide support for data governance and align analytics activities with enterprise data strategy to improve trust and consistency in decision-making.
  • Promote analytics usage and skills through training, mentoring, and championing best practices in analytics tools and methods.
  • Guide federated Commercial analytics teams in building “one source of truth” via certified, trustworthy, and structured data in the Enterprise Analytics Platform.
  • Lead projects to extend foundational commercial data assets and enable more consistent, timely business decisions.
  • Develop standardized commercial metrics for coherent and comparable performance evaluation across products, channels, and customers.
  • Drive analytics maturity across the Commercial organization, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making.
  • Lead and contribute to the Enterprise Data Analyst Forum, representing the Commercial function.

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Data Analytics or Business or related field.

Experience Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in analytics, preferably with significant commercial/business experience.
  • Demonstrated strength in data modeling, wrangling, and interpretation.
  • Deep knowledge of data analytics applications in commercial strategy, pricing, sales, and marketing.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience with statistical methods, predictive modeling, and data science.
  • Knowledge of enterprise data platforms and analytics tools.
  • Proven ability to innovate and set strategic direction for analytics within a commercial setting.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.

Experience Preferred

  • Masters degree.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

  • Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. 
  • May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
  • May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
