Summary

Join our team as a Wholesale Regional Sales Manager! In this role, you will lead sales activities across your assigned territory, building strong relationships with customers, distributors, and internal teams to drive growth and maximize product mix. You’ll play a key role in planning and executing sales strategies, negotiating effectively, and ensuring customers have the right products when they need them. By collaborating closely with sales operations, marketing, transportation, and credit teams, you’ll help the business achieve its goals while delivering exceptional service and results.

The salary range for this position is $101,000 - $151,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance). 

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage the segment mix of “Fab Few” items relevant to the customer base and provides one up manager weekly / monthly reporting on account based Gross Margin by products and accounts.
  • Submit orders to distribution and product coordinators by the required times for all retail products.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships and negotiate pricing with key customers and stakeholders to understand their needs and drive sales and profit.
  • Responsible for a minimum number of daily pricing errors attributed to the salesperson based on required goals.
  • Responsible for identifying/ modifying/ maintaining customer credit requirements as market conditions dictate
  • Manage/Maintain/Negotiate with accounts committed volumes in accordance with guidelines established for forecasting product/ customer volumes.
  • Communicate effectively with Field Marketing/Merchandising and Maintains responsibility for mix and Gross Margin concerns customer concerns, volume issues, mix concerns and growth opportunities in segment and industry trends
  • Maintain personal education plan / attends in-house training and development classes as considered necessary by Sr. Manager.
  • Monitor Cash Sales, Landfill and Donation volumes at assigned distribution centers to meet established department goals.
  • Provide directions to either solid line or dotted line direct reports.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing or Business Administration.
  • 5 - 7 years related experience or in the absence of a Bachelor’s degree, total experience of 10+ years.
  • Strong reading, writing, analytical and communication skills required.
  • Must have good computer skills and a working knowledge of interfacing with SAP order entry systems.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and suppliers.
  • Must be able to travel to plant facilities and market areas to include overnight travel.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

  • Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
  • May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
  • May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
  • Work activity is in an office setting.
