Summary
Support the success of our live production operations as a Live Production Administrative Assistant for the Perry, GA complex. In this role, you will partner closely with the Live Production and Growout Manager while collaborating with hatchery, feed mill, growout, flock advisors, and producers to ensure seamless communication, efficient coordination, and smooth day-to-day operations. You'll leverage your organizational skills, technical proficiency, and attention to detail to support critical production activities across multiple systems and priorities. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (weekends as needed)
Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain harvest schedules, placement schedules, and other MTECH-derived information on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Distribute reports as directed.
- Contact producers with movement times.
- Communicate and distribute movement times to flock advisors and other required parties.
- Coordinate with the growout department to rebook farms for chicks.
- Coordinate farm-specific items, including grower personal accounts, demand notes, and supplies that need to be procured.
- Enter invoicing information into Maximo.
- Submit purchase orders for approval.
- Manage direct-stamped items for the Live Production Manager.
- Manage and order warehouse and growout supplies to ensure items such as coveralls, poultry supplies, and other materials are readily available.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Live Production Manager.
Minimum Education and Experience
- High School Diploma.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office software.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Associate degree.
- Technical school training.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors
- Work is primarily sedentary but may require occasional movement between offices or buildings.
- Move light equipment or supplies from one location to another.
- Access files, supplies, and equipment.
- Perform work activities in an office environment.
