Summary

Join our team as a Production Associate! We’re looking for dedicated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to upholding the highest standards of quality and safety. As a Production Associate, you’ll play a crucial role in various aspects of the production line processing poultry product. This position requires working with raw and cooked products. Typical assignments may include, packing, palletizing, grinding, marination, stack off, Multivac, overwrap, and/or quality control.

The regular schedules shift(s) for Production Associate are as followed:

1st Shift Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, with overtime as required and occasional Saturdays
2nd Shift Monday–Friday, 1:00pm–9:00pm, with overtime as required and occasional Saturdays
3rd Shift Sunday–Thursday, 12:00am–8:30am, with overtime as required and occasional Friday nights

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies
  • Ensure supply room organization and cleanliness
  • Rotate stock to ensure the oldest items are used first
  • Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure supply needs are met
  • Perform tasks safely and follow all company protocols
  • Receive, store, and issue plant supplies and materials

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Works at various stations along the production line processing poultry food product.
  • Works at various stations along the production line boxing packaged product.
  • Operates machinery and equipment in accordance with safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
  • Inspects poultry products for quality and consistency.
  • Packages and labels finished products accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area to uphold food safety standards.
  • Collaborates with team members to achieve production targets.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Education

  • High School or equivalent beneficial but not required

Experience Preferred

  • Six months of steady work history is preferred
  • Experience in protein processing/manufacturing preferred

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

When in a plant environment:

  • Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
  • May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
  • May handle products from 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. 
  • May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 dB to 110 db. 
  • May be exposed to dust, feathers and all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility. 
  • You must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company. 
  • Occasional exposure to carbon dioxide vapors 10ppm and chlorine less than 20 ppm. 
  • Able to stand for several hours. 
  • Work may include lifting (up to 50 lbs.), reaching, bending, pushing boxes on conveyor assembly.
