Step into a key role that keeps our operations running seamlessly from production to customer delivery. The Supply Planner develops and maintains daily and weekly production schedules for assigned plants and species, balancing supply, capacity, and demand to support business objectives. This role plays a critical part in optimizing company resources, aligning production plans with customer needs, and ensuring orders are fulfilled efficiently and on time. This position is based at Corporate HQ in Salisbury, MD.
The salary range for this position is $63,000 - $95,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Create and maintain the optimum Production Schedule for a poultry processing facility. These plans must meet both the short- and long-term goals.
Create and maintain the optimum inventory profile to ensure fulfillment of customer requirements, considering forecast accuracy, schedule compliance and production smoothing requirements.
Review forecast with Demand Planning to review issues such as product mix or capacity constraints. Examples would be identification of excess products in the future or feature requirements exceeding capacity at the default plant and assignment of volume to alternate facilities. Supply Planners will assign the default plant to new customers after reviewing the full impact of the additional volume
Work as part of the Sales and Operations Planning team to review the forward plan and past performance. This will also involve a constant dialogue with respective plants, Demand Planning, Order Management and Distribution.
Constantly monitor and review the supply models in Blue Yonder (JDA) and Excel, including all the automatic, overnight processes and interfaces to and from SAP. Daily exception reports will be produced both systems exceptions where parameters are missing and process exceptions, for example where supply may not meet demand or stock is low.
Monitor exceptions daily and communicate with Order Management as to the most effective solution; advise of any modifications to the supply plan and options for utilizing inventory.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree and 4–5 years of related work experience. In absence of bachelor’s degree, total experience must equal 7-8 years.
The ideal candidate will also have:
Above average numerate and analytical skills.
Good working knowledge of Supply Chain and SAP as it relates to inventory and the master production schedule.
Sound business and industry experience essential.
Advanced computer skills including experience in the Microsoft Office Suite and an understanding of how data is passed between systems.
Ability to travel overnight to customers/vendor locations and/or plant locations.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors
Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
When in a plant environment:
Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
May handle products from 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, and processing facility.
Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
