Summary
Be the organizational backbone that keeps feed mill operations running smoothly. As a Feed Mill Clerk, you will provide essential clerical, secretarial, and administrative support to the Feed Mill Manager and leadership team, helping coordinate daily activities and maintain accurate records and communications. Your work will support efficient operations, strong organization, and effective information flow across the facility. This role is ideal for a detail oriented, dependable professional who enjoys supporting a fast paced environment and contributing to the success of day to day operations.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Basic clerical functions, typing, using a computer, filing, answering phones, reading and sorting mail.
- Learn how to use Mtech and Maximo systems.
- Maintaining grower and flock information.
- Maintain and run reports using a variety of software such as Maximo Purchasing and Maintenance, Mtech.
- Maintain salary and/or hourly payroll and attendance records Kronos and JJ Keller interface.
- Maintain Safety records for both production and fleet safety.
- Provide back-up support for the Delivery Clerk.
- Other duties that may be added as needed.
Minimum Education and Experience
- 2-3 Years related experience.
- High school education with an emphasis in business/accounting.
- Strong math and communication skills, data entry and PC experience (Excel, Access Data Base Entry, Mainframe application, M-tech, and Word), Maximo.
- 7 years clerical experience with at least two years Poultry experience at Perdue. Due to complexity of position a year’s training is required.
- Willing to change between multiple responsibilities.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors
- Work environment includes, but is not limited to, a normal office environment as well as climate extremes found in a feed mill operation.
- Required to move throughout the complex.
- Exposure to all noise levels/chemicals found in a feed mill operation.
- Required to wear and/or use personal protective equipment and safety equipment as required by the job.
