Summary
The Sales Support Manager is responsible for the delivery of quality service and customer satisfaction to internal and external customers working with Customer Support Senior Director as needed. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
The salary range for this position is $84,000 - $126,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Sales Support Deportment, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and driving continuous improvement in customer service delivery.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with Niman Ranch and Specialty Meats departments to proactively identify and implement customer-focused solutions that enhance service and operational efficiencies.
- Own the evaluation and implementation of process, product and service enhancements, including ROI analysis and execution of improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment with Senior Leadership priorities.
- New Account Onboarding.
- Manage resource planning, staffing and workload distribution to optimize team efficiency and ensure accurate labor tracking.
- Regulate and assist in communication and understanding of customer notices to be sent by Sales Support team, Price Lists, Holiday Order Changes, Price Increases and Product Availability.
- Oversee and ensure accuracy of orders, invoicing, allocations and production processes through performance monitoring and system driven controls, escalating and resolving variances as needed.
- Provide leadership, coaching and performance management for Sales Support team members, setting clear goals, conducting evaluations, and driving professional development.
- Own customer satisfaction outcomes by analyzing metrics, driving service excellence initiatives, and leading resolution of escalated issues to ensure superior customer experiences.
- Assist team in reviewing back up detail for invoices, to apply credit and debit memos to customer accounts with the help of finance and sales directors to ensure proper completion.
- Lead departmental planning and prioritization, delegating responsibilities effectively to maximize team performance and meet business objectives.
- Serve as a leadership partner across Specialty Meats brands, aligning service strategies, ensuring consistency in customer experience, and promoting best practice sharing among Senior Director and Managers.
- Subject Matter Expert on all Sales Support Department functions including customer portals and master data knowledge.
Experience Requirements
Bachelors degree in the area of Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or related field. Our ideal candidate will have/be:
- 5 years of related experience in a customer service position
- Must exhibit politeness, confidence, tact, patience, and diplomacy while dealing with complex problems
- Motivational, listening, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to produce creative ideas to improve customer service standards
- Ability to lead and supervise teams and work under tight deadlines
- Must have experience in customer service management related activities
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience working in a retail or wholesale company environment strongly preferred
